Location

POLAND, with its history of over 1000 years, population of 38. 6 million, land greater then the UK and slightly smaller then Germany plays a significant role in a political, cultural and economic life of Europe.
It is located in Central Europe bordering Germany to the West, the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the South, Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania to the East, and Russia and Scandinavia through the Baltic Sea to the North. It is a traditional bridge between West and East. Situated across the central European plain, Poland is mostly a flat country, but due to its geographical configuration the landscape presents great variety. You can admire Baltic Sea zone in the North, nearby lake districts doing south, then upland and the mountains in the South...
